No. Unless the document specifically instructs otherwise, do not sign until you are in the presence of the notary and all identification and documents have been reviewed. Most notarizations require the signature to be witnessed by the notary.

A document written in another language may be notarized provided the required notarial certificate is in English (or otherwise meets Kentucky requirements), the signer can communicate with the notary sufficiently for the notary to perform the notarization, and the notary is able to complete the notarial act in accordance with Kentucky law. The notary is not responsible for translating or explaining the contents of the document.
